Sharing & embedding
Sharing and embedding tools
Send someone straight to a tool, or drop a tool into your own site with an embed.
Sharing a tool
Found something handy? Every tool page has a Share button near the top so you can send someone straight to it:
- On mobile, it opens your phone's normal share sheet — message, email, or any app.
- On desktop, it copies the tool's link to your clipboard, ready to paste into chat, a doc, or an email.
Because the link points at the tool's own page, whoever opens it lands on the tool and its guide and FAQ — so they can get going without you having to explain it.
Embedding a tool on your site
If you run a blog, a docs site, or an internal wiki, you can put a Pageonaut tool directly on your own page using its embed view:
https://www.pageonaut.com/embed/<tool-slug>
Drop that URL into an <iframe> and the tool runs inside your page. For example, a writing blog might embed the word counter, or a developer's notes might embed the JSON formatter. Your readers use the tool without leaving your site.
Embeds are free to use. A visible link back to the full tool is appreciated — it helps people discover the rest of Pageonaut — but it isn't required.
A note on shared results
Sharing sends someone to the tool itself, ready to use. For privacy reasons, what you type or the files you process aren't baked into a share link — the person opening it starts fresh with their own input. If you want to pass along a result, export or copy it from the tool and send that directly.
