How to use the dart counter
- Choose your game — 301, 501 or 701 — and whether you play double out (standard) or straight out.
- Add up to four players and hit Start.
- Enter every dart with one tap: pick Single, Double or Triple, then the number. Bull scores 50, the outer bull 25, and Miss counts a thrown dart with no score.
- The counter subtracts automatically, ends the turn after three darts, detects busts, and celebrates the 180s.
- Made a mistake? Undo steps back one dart at a time — across turns and busts.
For the real living-room experience, tap the fullscreen button: the scoreboard scales up so you can read the remaining score from the throwing line, and the dark/light toggle sits right beside it.
Checkout suggestions
From 170 points down, the counter shows a suggested checkout route for the darts you have left in hand — for example T20 → T20 → Bull for 170 or T20 → 19 → D16 for 111. If a number can't be finished with the darts remaining (a "bogey number" like 169 or 168 with three darts), it tells you to set up a double instead.
| Remaining | Suggested finish |
|---|---|
| 170 | T20, T20, Bull |
| 167 | T20, T19, Bull |
| 100 | T20, D20 |
| 80 | T20, D10 |
| 40 | D20 |
| 32 | D16 |
Scoring rules the counter enforces
- A turn is three darts; scores are subtracted from the remaining total.
- Double out: the last dart must be a double or the bullseye. Reaching 1, going below 0, or hitting 0 without a double is a bust — the score resets to the start of the turn.
- Legs are tracked automatically, and the starting player alternates every leg, just like in a real match.
- The 3-dart average and each player's last turn stay visible the whole game.
When you need this
Pub night, garage board, office tournament or solo practice — a phone or tablet next to the board replaces the chalkboard and the mental math after the third beer. For deciding who throws first, spin the Random Picker Wheel, test your reflexes between legs with the Reaction Time Test, or time shot clocks with the Online Stopwatch.
Private by design
The whole match runs in your browser — no account, no upload, no tracking of your scores. Browse more free utilities on the all tools page.
