Why there are ads

Building, testing and maintaining a growing library of tools — and keeping them fast and free of accounts — takes ongoing work. Ads are what pay for that. They let us keep every tool completely free, with no premium tier, no paywalled features and nothing to subscribe to.

In other words: the ads are there so that the tools can stay free for everyone. That trade — a few ads in exchange for no cost and no sign-up — is the whole business model.

How we handle ads

We try to be a good guest on your screen:

• The tool comes first. Ads sit around the content, never inside the tool itself and never covering what you're working on.
• No nasty formats. No auto-playing sound, no full-screen takeovers ambushing you mid-task.
• A sensible limit. We keep the number of ads on a page modest rather than wallpapering it.

Want fewer ads?

You're always free to run an ad blocker — the tools work exactly the same with one on. We'd gently ask you to consider allowing ads on Pageonaut, since that's what keeps the lights on, but the choice is yours and nothing is held back either way.
