Getting started with Pageonaut

What Pageonaut is

Pageonaut is a growing collection of small, focused online tools that make everyday tasks simple — converting a file, cleaning up text, generating a QR code, checking a colour, testing your typing speed. Each one does a single job well, opens instantly, and works without an account.

Most tools run entirely in your browser, so your files and text never leave your device. The handful that genuinely need a server are clearly labelled on their page.

Finding a tool

There are two quick ways to get to what you need:

• Search — open All tools and type what you want to do. You don't need the exact name; describe the task ("remove background", "merge pdf", "json") and the closest tools surface as you type.
• Browse categories — every tool sits in a category like Text, Image, PDF, Developer or Tests & Trainer. The Categories menu in the header lets you scan a whole area at once.

Using a tool

Open any tool and you'll see the tool itself at the top of the page, ready to use straight away. Below it, every tool has:

• a short guide explaining how it works and when to use it, and
• a FAQ answering the questions people ask most.

So if you ever get stuck, the answer is usually right there on the same page — scroll down, or use the floating Comet helper in the corner to jump straight to the guide or FAQ.

A few helpful touches

• Share — most tools have a Share button so you can send a colleague straight to the right tool.
• Dark or light — use the theme toggle in the header; your choice is remembered.
• Nothing to lose — because tools run locally, closing the tab is all the "logging out" you'll ever need to do.
